Tuggeranong fills Canberra’s far south, and ACT House & Landscaping Maintenance works in every suburb of the district, including Kambah, Wanniassa, Greenway and Calwell. Landscaping and maintenance in Tuggeranong usually means looking after an established family home: tired lawns, older gardens, roofs and gutters that need attention, and yards that need levelling before something new goes in. This page gathers our Tuggeranong suburb pages and local guides in one place. Call 0406 700 400 to talk through a job anywhere in the district.
The ACT Government’s Tuggeranong District Strategy describes a district of generally low-density suburbs served by the town centre, six group centres and 18 local centres. Its rapid transit routes pass the Conder, Calwell, Erindale and Wanniassa group centres, and Kambah has a group centre of its own.
Besides those, the strategy names Banks, Chisholm, Fadden, Gilmore, Gordon, Greenway, Monash, Richardson and Theodore, with Tharwa village at the rural edge. If your street is anywhere in that list, it is in our area.
Houses dominate here. The strategy puts single detached dwellings at about 80% of the district’s homes in 2021, down from around 87% in 2016 as more apartments and townhouses were built near the town centre. Most owners therefore have a lawn, a garden and a whole roof to look after.
A thinned lawn on clay often responds to aeration, feeding and overseeding, which our lawn mowing service takes on alongside regular cuts. On the house itself, leaves and grit in the gutters are the common problem, and gutter cleaning deals with them before the next storm.
In an older home, the outside jobs often connect. Water from a clean roof still has to go somewhere, so a yard that ponds after rain may need regrading or a drain before new turf goes down. Garden beds heaped against a wall can hold damp against the brickwork. Treating the house and the garden as one project avoids paying for the same ground twice.
Our house maintenance service covers repairs, painting and fittings, and the same project manager can line it up with the landscaping so each trade arrives in a sensible order.
